JAMMU, Sept 3: Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar defeated GCW Parade by seven goals to four (7-0) in the Inter-Collegiate Handball Championship, organized by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at its Sports Ground, here.
Earlier, in the men’s section, GDC Kathua prevailed over SPMR College of Commerce by (18-06), GDC Paloura defeated GDC Udhampur by (16-06) and GGM Science College registered a thrilling win over P G Department by (14-13).
The matches were officiated by Gourav Sharma, Jyoti Sharma, Takdir Singh and Amit Sharma.
The championship is being held under the overall supervision of Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Goutam Sharma, Vikesh Sharma, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Gagan Kumar and Jai Bharat, while the matches were organized by Vikas Karlopia.
