Game Changer, Vriddhi Royals register wins in 3rd PPCPL

JAMMU, Apr 21: The Game Changer and Vriddhi Royals registered wins against their opponents and entered in next round of the ongoing 3rd Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL), being organized under the banner of Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with senior cricketers of J&K and KC Sports Club.
The first match was played between Vriddhi Royals and Game Changer Rising Stars wherein former defeated later by eight wickets.
Batting first Game Changer Rising Stars score 102 runs in 20 overs. Sanoop made 24 runs, while Jahaneer scored 16 runs and Vanshaj contributed 15 runs. From the bowling side, Arjun took two wickets, Vishal, Tegvansh and Vanshaj bagged one wicket each.
In reply Vriddhi Royals chased the target in 9.4 overs by losing only two wickets with Tarun Bisht made 40 runs, Satyam contributed 30 runs. From the bowling side, Sanoop took one wicket. Tarun Bisht was declared as man of the match.
In another match, Game Changer defeated Friends Club Kathua by 61 runs.
Batting first, Game Changer scored 166 runs for the loss of five wickets. Mohd Manzir made 36 runs, whereas Asif Nabi and Pankaj contributed 34 runs and 30 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Retaish took two wickets, Varun, Daman and Anubav bagged one wicket each.
In reply, Friends Club Kathua made only 105 runs by losing all wickets thus lost the match by 61 runs. Akrit Raj made highest 25 runs, Anubav scored 21 runs and Aditiya contributed 17 runs for their team. From bowling side, Amit clinched three wickets, Manzir and Pankaj took two wickets each and while Ranjot and Aqib bagged one wicket each. Asif Nabi was adjudged with man of the match.
Rakesh Koul was the chief guest of today’s matches. He was introduced with the participating teams by the organising secretary of the tournament.
Sadiq Hussain, JD Singh, Amit Gupta, Sudhir Singh and Saleem Ur Rehman were among the officials of the matches.
Earlier, Rakesh Honda and Mehjoor Ali Sofi former Ranji players of Punjab and J&K have joined on live interview with the commentator RP Singh during the league matches of PPCPL and shared their valuable views for the welfare of budding cricketers of J&K.
