Game Changer scripts 55 runs win over Warriors

JAMMU, Nov 3: Game Changer registered 55 runs win over Akhnoor Warriors in the 2nd match of Legends Cricket Tournament, being organised by youth of Satriyan and sponsored by Drugs & Food Control Organisation Jammu and Chemist Association, RS Pura at Satriyan in RS Pura, here today.
Deputy Drugs Controller Jammu, Mohd Iqbal Palla was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, the team of Game Changer won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, Game Changer scored 143 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs which was not chased by Akhnoor Warriors and could make only 88 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Jivesh Kumar was declared as man of the match who took three crucial wickets.
The Deputy Drugs Controller said that the tournament was organized as part of the ‘Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyaan’ which aims to reach out the masses and spread awareness about substance abuse and drug abuse.  He stressed on the participants to inculcate the values of true sportsmanship and keep themselves away from drugs, unhealthy things, and anti-social activities.
He said that participation in the game is more important than winning or losing the game and administered a pledge to youth about working against drug abuse. He also inspired them to stop people from falling prey to drug abuse and simultaneously save themselves from this menace.
Players from different teams, a large number of students, prominent citizens, officers of the department, and representatives of Chemist Association RS Pura witnessed the match.
