JAMMU, Apr 30: Kishtwari Sangathan Jammu (KSJ) organised the final match of the KSJ tournament at University of Jammu, here today.
Five teams participated and played five matches of 10 overs each, while the final match was played between Chenab team and Neelam team.
The captain of the Neelam team won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 94 runs in 10 overs wherein Arun Shan displayed an outstanding batting performance and scored 72 runs, while the Chenab team under the mentorship of Swami Raj Parihar chased the set target in just eight overs and emerged winner of the final match.
The teams Kesar, led by captain Rajesh Rathore, Chenab team under the captainship of Deepak Thakur, Neelam led by team captain Arun Shan, Chinar team led by captain Achal Sharma and Kokila team under the captainship of Sachin Sharma took part in the KSJ’s friendly tournament.
Later, the president of the Sangathan, Ashok Kumar Sen distributed the trophies to the winning and runner-up teams. He also awarded Arun Shan with man of series award and handed over participation certificates to all the players who participated in the tournament.
