Four JKCA players selected for Deodhar Trophy

JAMMU, July 10: The four cricket players of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) have been selected for the Deodhar Trophy here today.
The North Zone Zonal Selection Committee met today at New Delhi today for the selection of the North Zone team for the ensuing Deodhar Trophy. The four players of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association who were selected for the Deodhar Trophy were Shubham Khajuria, Vivrant Sharma, Yudhvir Singh and Aqib Nabi has been chosen to represent North Zone. The selectors have chosen eight reserve players in addition to the main squad of 15 players. Aqib Nabi is in the reserve list.
Brigadier Anil Gupta, a member of the BCCI sub-committee said, “Deodhar Trophy will be played at Pudducherry from 24 July to 3 August and it’s another feather in the cap of JKCA and the acknowledgement of the growing stature of cricket in J&K.”
The Sub Committee members have complimented the players selected for the Deodhar Trophy and hoped that they would make a mark in the tournament with their performances.
Meanwhile, the J&K’s top batter Shubham Khajuria who has been selected for Deodhar Trophy had recently scored double century in England Club Cricket by scoring 212 runs off just 126 balls on debut for Westhoughton Cricket Club.
