Founders’ Day celebrated with enthusiasm

JAMMU, Oct 31: Shaurya International School celebrated its ‘Founders’ Day’, wherein Vijay Bakaya, former Chief Secretary of J&K, was the chief guest, while Pardeep Gandotra, chairman Jammu Civil Society graced the occasion as guest of honour, here today.
Trustees, Uma Gupta and Kusum Gupta, Harinder Mahajan, chairman School Management Committee and Sahil Mahajan, vice chairman, School Directors, Pooja Mahajan and Miho Mahajan besides distinguished guests including Santosh Gupta, Dr Neelam Saraf, Saloni Mehta and Ashima Mehta were also present during the event.
The event commenced with paying floral tribute to founders, late Janak Raj Gupta and late Sneh Gupta, followed by lighting of traditional lamps by the chief guest and other dignitaries.
A Sarvdharm Prarthana (All Faith prayer) was also organized, followed by Ganesh Vandana performed by students that attracted everyone’s attention and various sports, art and craft activities were also organized.
On this occasion, meritorious students were honoured with scholarships, while staff with12 years of regular service were also felicitated.
Vijay Bakaya, the chief guest congratulated all the teachers and staff members for their commitment and honesty, while Pardeep Gandotra commented the School is now a name of perfection for its creativity and innovation in response to the School’s outstanding achievements.”
Harinder Mahajan, chairman of the School said that the School cherished the dream of its founders, late Janak Raj Gupta and late Sneh Gupta and they wanted to see it attaining great height with the support of its dedicated staff.
Sahil Mahajan, vice-chairman praised the team’s accomplishment of this incredible milestone and thanked parents and students for their loyalty to the School in the last 15 years, while Dr Rajesh Gandral, Principal stated that the School has pioneered a new world of education where students are empowered with holistic development.
