RAJOURI, Oct 26: A Football Tournament organized by Army concluded today at Post Graduate College Rajouri.
The tournament was aimed at selection of best players from the participating teams for Rajouri district team which will take part in the Inter District Football Tournament being organized at OP Hill Stadium, Mendhar from November 2 onwards.
Five prominent clubs VIZ, RFC, SFC, RY, TT and NFC of Rajouri participated in the trials along with the football team of the Post Graduate College. The matches were played on the shorter variants and the selection was carried out on the basis of talent showcased by the players. The tournament saw an impressive display of camaraderie and sportsmanship.
The inaugural match was held between Rajouri FC and Shadows FC. The match was won by Rajouri FC whose goalkeeper Munsif Khan made some remarkable saves. The event culminated with the prize distribution.
