First ‘Raid De Padri’ Motorcycle Rally held

DODA, June 3: To inculcate sense of Communal Harmony and to give a flip to the adventure tourism in Bhadarwah, 4 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in collaboration with Bhadarwah Development Authority (BDA) organized first “Raid De Padri” Motorcycle Rally for the biking enthusiasts here today.
Forty kilometer long rally which was flagged-off by Brigadier Brar, Commander 4 Sector RR from Bhadarwah College ground culminated at famous tourist destination Padri meadow on inter-state Bhadarwah-Chamba road.
Eighty local bikers of different age groups participated in the rally after getting their names registered with the organizers.
To promote adventure tourism in Bhadarwah Valley, BDA is not only collaborating with Army but had also sponsored such events.
“I can say that adventure tourism helps in building confidence and when you are confident you can develop your personality. Our focus is to promote adventure tourism and explore new camping sites in Bhadarwah for that we are soon going to organize a cycle rally in collaboration with District Administration and we will try to bring some cyclists of national repute in this rally”, said Bal Krishan, CEO, BDA.
A large number of spectators and some veteran ralliest were also present at the venue to witness the first “Raid De Padri” bike rally.
J&K Police was also associated with the event to inculcate the safe driving among the young bikers.
