SAMBA, Aug 4: The 14th District Samba Fencing Championship commenced at Vinod Vidya Mandir Higher Secondery School Nonath, here today.
This event is being organised by Samba District Amateur Fencing Association in collaboration with J&K Amateur Fencing Association, J&K Sports Council and District Youth Service and Sports.
The chief guest on this occasion was Suresh Kumar Phalli, DDC Member Ghagwal, Vijay Tagitra BDC Chairman and MJ Sharma (IFS Retd.), founder president and chief patron of JKAFA.
Around 140 students participated in the championship and results in Under-14 foil boys, were Shantanu Sharma scoring (Gold), Shiv Sharma (Silver), Vansh Sharma (Bronze) and Ajay Kumar (Bronze).
