DODA, July 29: The Department of Youth Services and Sports started coaching camp for coaches and young budding players at Sports Stadium, here today.
The camp is being organised under the guidance of Advisor to LG, Farooq Khan and under the patronage of Mohammad Ashraf Batt, Director Youth Services and Sports UT J&K and under the overall supervision of District Youth Service & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Doda which will culminate on August 9.
The main motive of the camp is to train the coaches and students about new games, so that students from this backward and hilly district could participate at State, National and International level championships.
DYSSO Doda, Jaffar Haider Sheikh advised the trainees to take interest in this new game and follow the SOPs and guidelines of COVID-19 issued by the Government to control the pandemic.
In this camp about 20 PEM/PET/REK and 75 students are taking part drawn from different institutions of district Doda.
