JAMMU, Feb 12: All Jammu and Kashmir State Power Lifting Association is organizing Federation Cup, the opening ceremony of which will be held at Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar on February 16 at 4 pm.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting chaired by the General Secretary of the Association, Ajay Sharma and attended by other office bearers including Rahul Sahwney, Sanjeev Singh, Adil, Karnil, Gaurav, Deep, Hardeep, Sandeep and Sohan Lal.
The Association will also be conducting J&K State Bench Press Championship (Jr and Sr men and women) Un-equipped only at MA Stadium on February 27, 2018.
The Championship will be held under the rules and regulations of Power Lifting India.
According to a handout issued here, all the medal winners of the Championship will be selected for the forthcoming National Bench Press Championship to be held at Ranchi from March 16 to March 18, 2018.
For men the weight categories include 53, 59, 66, 74, 83, 93, 105, 120 and 120 kgs above, while for women the weight categories will be 47 kg, 52, 57, 63, 72, 84 and above 84 kgs.
The Association has advised the players to bring passport size photograph and Aadhar Card in original along with them before reporting the venue for weighing.
The players have also been advised to be in proper kit ie, Round neck T-Shirt with Shorts or Loose Costume.
