FC Pampore pips Kashmir United in one-off game

SRINAGAR, Dec 21: Football Club Pampore outplayed Kashmir United Football Club   Srinagar by two goals to nil (2-1) in a one-off match of Pampore Flood Victims Memorial Football Cup played at Iqbal ground Drangbal in Pampore.
The match was sponsored by 50 Rashtriya Riffles in association with Falahi Behbood Committee Pampore.
The game, a six a side affair, was watched by a decent crowd.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Fayaz Ahmad, general secratary J&K Football Association, Wali Mohammad Executive Member J&K Football Association, Tehsildar Pampore Abdul Rehman Dar, Fallah Behbood Committee Chairman Mir Murawat Hussain, Incharge Police Station Pampore Tajamul Ahmad, 50RR Mager Mohit, District President Football Association Pulwama Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and other officers.
Both teams were awarded for their participation.
Meanwhile, the chief guest, other dignitaries and the players held prayers in absentia for children killed in Peshawar massacre, strongly condemning the barbaric and cowardly act by the terrorists. The prayers were also held for the people who lost their lives during disastrous floods in Kashmir Valley.
