POONCH, Dec 30: Gulah Mohammad Jan Memorial T-20 Tournament commenced here today with the participation of over 32 teams.
The tournament was officially declared open by Dr. Farooq Abdullah, former CM and MP, at Sports Stadium Poonch.
Organized by a dedicated team led by Raiz Madni, Shoaib Mughal, Asgar Ali, Imran Shah and others, the tournament is aimed to provide a platform to the youth to showcase their talents and engage them in physical activities promoting health and wellness.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by several notable personalities including Jahangir Hussain Mir, former MLC and Ajaz Jan, former MLA, who addressed the gathering and emphasised on the importance of sports in the development of youth.
Bhag Hussain Rathoor, Peer Nissar Shah, Peer Khurshid Shah, Sheikh Afzal, Mashooq Khan, Bashir Naike, Gulam Hussain Bhatti, Raju Thakur, Narinder Singh Talwar, Naveen Singh, Prvinder Singh, Abdul Razak, Rahim Daat, Javid Lone, Mukhtar Rathoor, Matiul Rehman, Sonu Singh, Dr. Ravinder Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
