SRINAGAR, Dec 4: Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Dr Farooq Abdullah dedicated the tennis and basket ball court to the students of SP College today, for which the Union Minister provided funds out of his Parliament Area Development Fund.
On the occasion, while interacting with students and teachers he said that Rs 64 lakh were spent on filling of 100 kanal of land of play field of the college.
Abdullah advised the students to take part in various sports activities besides their academics so that they can compete not only at State but also international level in extracurricular activities.
Minister for Higher Education, MA Lone, MLA Nasir Aslam Wani, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Principal SP College and other officers were present on the occasion.
