JAMMU, Nov 26: Defeating Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor by a big margin of 56 runs in the summit clash, Evershine Cricket Club Jammu lifted the title trophy of the Veterans Cricket Tournament Akhnoor at Govt Higher Secondary School ground, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Evershine CC made 147/8in 20 overs. Mini top scored with 63 runs, while Hardeep Singh contributed 48 runs to the total. For Singh Akhnoor, Deepak Sharma took 5 important wickets, while Raman Gupta bagged 2 wickets. Sonu Malhotra and Mall Ditta shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor managed to score 91/9 in 20 overs, thus lostthe match by 56 runs. Veenu Singh (32) was the top scorer, while Sunil Ray Radha chipped in with 14 runs.
Hoshiyar Singh, Madan and Danny shared 2 wickets each, while Hardeep Singh and Davinder Singh claimed 1 wicket each. Minni was declared as the man of the match, while Deepak Sharma got the man of the series award.
Sham Lal Sharma, Former Minister and Senior Vice President JKPCC was the chief guest on the occasion, while Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu was the guest of honour.  Both the dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
