JAMMU, Mar 31: Environment Educational Institute celebrated 20th annual day-cum-prize distribution function in the School premises, here today.
MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion, while Bodh Raj Vardan was the guest of honour.
The programme started with Saraswati Vandana followed by dances and songs presented by the students.
A cash prize of Rs. 10,000 was presented to the position holder of the School in Matriculation Board Examination, Ritika Anand.
Earlier, Principal of the School, Usha Anand presented welcome address. She also presented the report of this School.
In co-curricular activities, the excellence of students in national dance competition at Bhopal and national quiz competition at Bhilwara (Rajasthan) was appreciated by the dignitaries on the occasion.
Others who accompanied Mr Gupta included Karan Singh, Dalip, Shashi Sopolia , Raj Kumar, Rajinder, Manav, Sahil, Nittu, Rajesh, Chamanlal, Lucky Jain, Shoban jain, Naresh Abrol, Vinay, Gopal and Kuldeep.
The president of the Institute Dr M K Zutshi presented vote of thanks.
In the end, prizes were distributed to the students excelling in various fields.
The distinction holders in Class VIII 2013-14, who were felicitated included Palak Bali, Salma Khatoon, Ayushi Talwar, Varsha Jamwal and Aryanman Sadhotra, while the distinction holders in Class X 2013-14, who were felicitated included Ritika, Irbha Mehra, Suman Kumara, Khushbu Yadav, Abhinandan Kapoor and Varinder Singh.
