Enthusiastic Shubham selected for NCA’s U-23 camp

JAMMU, June 12: With his vibrant performance in the field of cricket, son of the soil and enthusiastic cricket Shubham Khajuria has been selected for U-23 camp to be held at National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bangalore from June 22 to July 11.
He may be shy off the field but on the field Shubham Khajuria leaves the audience spell-bound with his thrilling performance.
The right hand opener batsman loves to take on the bowlers. The Jammu lad, who played a key role in J&K’s historic win against Mumbai in Ranji Trophy, has now been selected for a U-23 camp to be held at the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore.
“To be selected for NCA camp is great for a youngster like me. It will take my cricket forward. I am definitely looking forward to it. Hopefully, I will return as better batsman”, Shubham Khajuria told the EXCELSIOR over phone after receiving his selection order for the camp.
“I love to take on the bowlers. I don’t like any bowler dominating me. That’s the way I have played my cricket right through and I don’t think it will change much in the future”, he added.
SAI Coach Varinder Sharma said, “Shubham is a dedicated cricketer who has developed into a matured player from his U-14 days. He bats according to match situation and has been selected for NCA camp for the fifth time continuously”.
Shubham’s father, Pardeep Khajuria who is a teacher by profession said that his son’s consistent performance for the last four, five seasons and regular practice has reaped him good rewards.
“He always wanted to play cricket. He took his decisions himself; we just supported him all along”, said Pardeep Khajuria.
