DODA, Oct 3: Education department today organised a district level function here at Government Higher Secondary School Boys, here to celebrate Kala Utsav.
The celebrations included various competitions in which students from 12 schools took part.
Deputy Commissioner Doda Bhupinder Kumar was chief guest.
SSP Doda Zahid Manhas, Col 10 RR Uphadhayay, CEO Doda Ashraf Rather were also present in the programme which was held under the overall supervision of Principal HSS boys Doda Tanveer Wani.
The programme was assisted by members of cultural cell Doda Om Prakash, Naseem ul Haq and teaching and non teaching of participating schools.
The competition was held in five different categories including dance, singing, painting, craft and theatre.
Alina Suhrawardy of Government Girls HSS Doda bagged the first position in painting competition, while Yawar Ahmed of Boys HSS Doda was declared winner in crafts.
Under dance category HSS Boys Bhaderwah emerged as the winner whereas in singing competition, HSS Girls Doda bagged the first position.
The first prize under theatre category was bagged by HSS Bhagwah. All the winners were awarded with the trophies by the administration.
