Rajouri, Oct 9: In the ongoing tournaments of all game events, BGSB University hold its final match of Inter-Departmental Cricket tournament which was clinched by Electronic and Communication Engineering Team (ECE) by defeating Electrical & Renewable Energy Engineering Team (ERE).
The final match was played at Police Line Ground of DPL Rajouri in which Dean of Students and Registrar Mohammad Rashid Chowdhary was chief guest.
In the final match, toss was won by Nasir Sofi, Captain of ERE Team and decided to bat first. The start was not good for ERE team and they could score only 82 runs in 20 overs with Nasir Sofi scored highest of 18. For ECE Muneeb took 5 wickets and gave only 6 runs in 4 hours showing very good performance.
ECE team chased the target by 5 wickets in hand. Shant Manu and Junaid starting chasing and they performed good score. Shant Manu was also declared Man of the Match as well as Man of the Series. For ERE Majid took 3 wickets.
Various dignitaries including Prof AK Koul, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. B A Wafai Director Centre for Biodiversity Studies, Deputy Director Physical Education and Sports Mohammad Din were present on the occasion who witness the match.
