ECE registers 6-1 win over IT in inaugural tie

RAJOURI, Apr 8: Electronic Communication Engineers (ECE) registered 6-1 goals victory over IT in the inaugural tie of the Football Tournament, which commenced at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), here today.
The tournament was declared open by Registrar and Dean of Students Mohd Rashid Choudhary, who also witnessed the inaugural tie of the tournament, which was played between B-Tech and Diploma Engineering teams. Controller of Examination Mohd Ishaq, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor, Suneet Gupta, Incharge Deputy Director Physical Education and Sports Mohd Din, Varsity Engineer BR Chadgal and Arboriculturist Shakeel Ahmed were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Registrar MR Chowdhary expressed satisfaction over the participation of students in various games organised by the university during annual sports and cultural fest. He also lauded the efforts of the participants shown in Inter-Departmental tourney and outside the University.
Chowdhary said that the University is providing every facility to the students to make them best and disciplined scholars.
Vice Chancellor Prof Irshad A Hamal has said that students should perform better in academics as well in sports and cultural activities for their overall growth and development.
He added that sports and cultural activities play vital role in the overall development and these activities are very important in building the personality of scholars.
In the tournament, a total of 11 teams are vying for the trophy.
