DYSS organizes PYKKA Competitions

REASI, Oct 20: Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Reasi conducted Block-level Inter-Panchayat Competitions, under Centrally Sponsored Scheme Panchayat Yuva Krida Aur Khel Abhiyan (PYKKA) in Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball & Athletics at  General Zorawar Singh Memorial Sports Stadium, here.
Over 200 players participated in the event.
Tehsildar Reasi, Gopal Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, while prominent among others present on the occasion Naib Tehsildar, Rajesh Baru and ZEO Reasi  Kaka Ram.
These activities of Rural Sports were conducted under the overall supervision of Dr Swaran Singh Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi.
Meanwhile, in Volleyball boys, Panthal trounced Mari Panchayat in the title clash, while in kabaddi boys, Panchayat Panthal defeated Kotli Manotrian to win the title. In kabaddi girls, Panthal thrashed Seela, while in Kho-kho boys, Panthal got better of Seela and in kho-kho girls, Panthal prevailed upon Seela to win the title.

100 mtrs boys: Jasbir Singh of Mari Panchayat, gold; Vishal of Kotli Manotrian B Panchayat, silver; Farid Ahmed of Agar Ballian Panchayat, bronze.
