JAMMU, Sept 12: The Department of Youth Services & Sports, District Jammu, organised Inter Zonal District Level Competitions of District Jammu in the disciplines of Cricket Under-19 boys and girls and Inter School Disrict Level competitions of Base Ball, Throw Ball, Hand Ball and Hockey Under-19 boys, besides Inter District Divisional Level competitions in the disciplines of Sqay Martial Art (AAG), Rugby (AAG), Judo (AAG) and Korfball U-17 and U-19 boys and girls at different venues in Jammu. Inter District State level Weight lifting competitions Under-17 and Under-19 boys and girls were also held at MA Stadium, here.
In all, around 400 boys and girls drawn from Jammu division are taking part in the competitions, which are being organised by Department of Youth Services & Sports under the patronage of Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General, Youth Services & Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu.
Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu is the Organising Secretary of the competitions.
The main objective of the competitions is to select the teams/players for the next level of competitions.
