UDHAMPUR, Sept 24: 2nd District Open Table Tennis Championship, being organized by Udhampur Table Tennis Academy was inaugurated by Gourav Mahajan, DySP Headquarter Udhampur at Mini Stadium, here today.
Sunil Sharma, Principal Boys Hr Sec School Udhampur, who happens to be the president of District Table Tennis Association Udhampur presided over the function.
The Championship started with an exhibition match between Gourav Mahajan and Sunil Sharma.
About 150 players drawn from the district are participating in the Championship..
Earlier, Kumar Tarun, president Udhampur Table Tennis Academy presented welcome address.
The championship is being organized under the supervision of Ankit Sharma, Sunny Sharma, Paras Magotra, Rajat Bandral and Achaat Magotra.
In the inaugural match, Harshit Ramotra defeated Mahi Kailu by (3-2) sets.
The match was officiated by Ankit Sharma.
