DODA, July 2: Doda Tigers Cricket Club (DTCC) and Odisha Cricket Club (OCC) scripted convincing wins against Madhya Pradesh Cricket Club (MPCC) and Delhi Cricket Club (DCC) respectively in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
The first match was played between DTCC and MPCC Batting first after winning the toss, DTCC set a target of 141 runs by losing 4 wickets in the allotted 15 overs. Shadab Khan played a splendid innings of 51 runs while Imran contributed 42 runs for his team. From MPCC, Balraj Singh scalped 2 wickets while Harsh Raj Tomar took 1 wicket.
In reply, MPCC team could not made it possible to chase down the given target and scored just 83 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 15 overs. Ashish Maklana was the highest scorer who scored 28 runs while Harsh Raj Tomar contributed 11 runs for his team. From DTCC, Ashraf Butt scalped 2 wickets while Haq Nawaz, Bagwan Singh and Irfan Kral shared 1 wicket each.
Shadab Khan of DTCC team was declared as the man of the match for his best batting performance who was given prize by Sr Umpire Munish Zutshi along with Abdal Shenali.
The second match was played between OCC and DCC.
Batting first, after winning the toss, OCC team scored a total of 135 runs by losing 6 wickets in the allotted 15overs. T Arjun top scored with 48 runs followed by Amrish Tiwari who contributed 33 runs. From DCC, Ashish Jaishwal scalped 2 wickets while Aasif Hussain and Imran Khan shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, DCC team managed to score 102 runs in 15 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Aasif Hussain was the highest scorer with 28 runs while Priyesh Panday contributed 24 runs to the total. From OCC, Shubnam Shukla scalped 2 wickets while Aalesh Sharma and Dev Raj shared 1 wicket each. T Arjun of OCC was declared as the man of the match for his magnificent performance who was given prize by Chairman YSCC Doda Naseer Ahmed Khora.
The matches were officiated by Ifroz Raza, Harish Raza, Munish Zutshi and Yousuf Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik and Abdal Shinali acted as the scorers.
