SOPORE, May 15: Inspired by Rafiabad police, who recently organized a T20 Cricket Tourney for the youth under its civic action programme, a drug de-addiction rally was organized today by the local youth at Rafiabad.
Around 200 youths from different villages of Rafiabad participated in 6 km race thereby displaying different slogans of drug abuse on their bodies.
While flagging off the race, SDPO Rafiabad, Shabir Khan said, “It is very important to connect with youth for peace, and when youth themselves are the starters for such type of events it is worth appreciating”.
He further said that they are planning some skill development projects in near future which will help these youth to be an employer rather than an employee. “SP Sopore, Harmeet Singh has issued some directions in this regard”, he added.
