Dream XI scripts 9-wkt win in Sikh Cricket League

POONCH, July 5: Dream XI registered a comfortable nine wickets win against Banda Singh Bahadur Club in the Sikh Cricket League Tournament underway at Government Boys Higher Secondary School ground, here today.
It was brilliant knock of unbeaten 81 from Gurjot that guided the side to win the game. Earlier, batting first, Banda Singh Bahadur Club set a challenging target of 165 runs for seven wickets in 10 overs.
Paramjeet Singh hit the bowlers hard in his 91 runs innings while Gurvinder Singh contributed 21 runs. From Dream XI, Gurjot Singh took three wickets.
Chasing a target of 164 runs, Dream XI made 168 for the loss of only wicket of Tejinder Singh in nine overs. Both Tejinder Singh (51) and Gurjot Singh (81 not out) played brilliant knocks thereby helped the side win the game. Hardeep Singh was other batsman at the crease with 15 runs.
Gurjot Singh was obvious choice for the man of the match title. He made 81 and took three wickets. In today’s match, Football coach, Mohinder Bali was special guest, who interacted with the teams and witnessed the game.
