JAMMU, July 5: Dream Cricket Club and Champions Cricket Club registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup 2017, being played at newly laid turf at KC School ground, here.
In the first match played today, Dream Cricket Club defeated Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor by a narrow margin of 13 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, Dream CC scored a fighting total of 140 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Kanav Saini, Deepak and Pankaj made 38, 29 and 19 runs respectively. From Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, Sham Singh Langeh and Vinay Manhas took 2 wickets each.
While chasing the target, Singh CC managed to score 127 runs in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 13 runs. ChanderKiran, Govil and Sunny Mahi contributed 31, 26 and 22 runs respectively. Sahil took 2  wickets for Dream Cricket Club.
The second match was played between Provin CC and Champions Cricket Club.
Provin Cricket Club won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first, PCC made 121 runs in 18.5 overs. Varun, Arvind and Rajesh made 39, 29 and 19 runs respectively. From Champions Cricket Club, Raghu Sharma and Akshit Chadha took 3 wickets each, while Akhil Uppal took took 2 wickets.
In reply, Champions Cricket Club won the match in 12.5 overs by losing 3 wickets. Shanga, Bhanu and Mukul made 41, 35 and 31 runs respectively. From Provin Cricket Club, Ajay took 2 wickets.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Madan Lal and Vinod Kandyara.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Arjun Chowdhary, Managing Director KC Sports Club, while the matches are being supervised by Sanjeev Sharma, organizing secretary of the Tournament.
