Dr Ravinder wins TT Tournament at KCSC

JAMMU, Feb 10: Thirty players participated in the second Singles Tournament in Table Tennis hosted by KC Sports Club in its multi-purpose sports hall, here.
All the matches were played with extraordinary zeal and turned out to be quite exciting for the participants.
The final match between Dr Ravinder Singh and Nikhil Sharma turned out to be a well fought affair extending into 4 games which finally went in favour of Dr. Ravinder Singh at (11-3,11-9,  5-11,11-9).
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Ayush beat Tanish Mehta by 11-6,11-10,Sidhant Choudhary outplayed R D Bali by 11-7,11-9, Rajinder Singh got better of Tushar Gupta 11-3,11-8 and Nakul Gupta trounced Nikhil Sharma by 11-8,11-9., while in the semifinals, Nikhil Sharma ousted Ayush by 11-9, 11-5 and Dr. Ravinder Singh, on the other hand had an easier job to beat Sidhant Choudhary by 11-8,5-11, and 11-5.
For deciding the third position, the match between Sidhant Choudhary and Ayush seemed to be evenly balanced, but eventually Sidhant Choudhary carried the day with a convincing win at 11-8,11-6.
Vishal Ghai who has played Table Tennis for the State of J&K 10 times at the national level was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony of the Tournament. He gave away the prizes to the winners on the occasion.
