Jammu, Sept 22: President National Conference and Member of Parliament, Dr Farooq Abdullah honoured Asian Games bronze medallist in Wushu Bhanu Partap Singh Chib in an impressive function at Bhathindi, here today.
Bhanu, who on an invitation from Dr Abdullah visited his Bhathindi residence expressed his gratitude to Dr Farooq and Omar Abdullah for being a constant course of support to him.
While complimenting the champion for bringing laurels to the Country, Dr Abduallh wished him good luck for the forthcoming World Cup.
“I will soon also be taking up the matter of Bhanu’s appointment in the J&K police with the Governor and DGP,” Dr Abdullah said.
Ranjeet Kalra, Vice President of the J&K Wushu Association and prominent sportspersons of the State were also present during the felicitation function.
