DPS organizes ‘Story Telling Competition’

JAMMU, Apr 29: To enhance the confidence and speaking skill of the students, DPS Jammu organized an “English Story Telling Competition” exclusively for the students of class V.
Around 40 students selected from different sections participated in the competition with great enthusiasm.
The Students of class V, mostly narrated the moral based stories. These young story tellers used a variety of props to make their stories interesting and expressive. Each story concluded with moral highlighting different values of life. Students used their imagination to create moral based stories on the topics honesty, loyalty, truthfulness etc.
Vanya Suri was adjudged first while Parvash Sharma and Sadia got 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. The winners were awarded certificates and trophies.
Dr. D Joseph, Additional Director / Principal, Delhi Public School Jammu lauded the efforts of the participants and remarked that such competitions enhance ability to use words effectively and would enable the students to create their own unique identity.
Sangeeta Jain, Coordinator, Primary Wing, DPS Jammu, emphasised the importance of co-curricular activities in the school.
