DPS organizes Book Fair, Summer Camp

JAMMU, May 31: To promote reading habits amongst the children and at the same time help them get rid of academic stresses, Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu organized two different events of ‘Scholastic Book Fair’ and the ‘Summer Camp’ in the school premises, here.
Organised in association with Scholastic India Private Limited to promote reading habits among the students, the 18th Book Fair was inaugurated by SS Sodhi, Director DPS in a well-attended function.
Speaking on the occasion, Sodhi said that the habit of reading needed to be inculcated in the children as in the present era it has become a lost art due to constant use of electronic gadgets.
Meanwhile, 14th Summer Camp has also been organized in the school, with a sole aim to help children getting rid of academic stresses by involving them in recreational and allied activities to hone their skill and explore their talent. The activities included creative art and craft, dance, music, besides sports activities like skating, swimming, cricket, football, table tennis and likes.
School Principal, Sudarshan Sonar wished for the smooth and successful conduct of the programmes.
