JAMMU, July 2: Delhi Public School (DPS), Leh in collaboration with Encyclopedia Britannica organized a workshop on Teaching and Methodology in English Language.
The workshop was attended by the staff of DPS Leh besides JNV Leh, Ladakh Public School and Army Public School. The resource person was from New Delhi namely Maryann Vaisoha, who has been associate with British Council and Cambridge.
The workshop started with lighting of traditional lamp by the resource person, Vijay Paul, Kunal Sharma who are the Zonal and Area sales managers, Britannica India, along with the Principal of the host school, Subhash Kumar Baldotra.
While speaking on the occasion, Baldotra stressed upon the need of finding out the ways and means to make the topic interesting, convenient and more understandable for the learners. He also emphasized on the need to focus on the pronunciation, as today there is conglomeration of both English and American style of English language being introduced and followed in our Country.
Maryann Vaisoha, the resource person, gave a patient hearing to all the queries of the participants and answered them nicely. She also stressed upon the need to focus and adapt the changes being introduced in English language.
Local Management Committee member, TP Singh, also stressed upon the need to have such workshops at regular intervals for the benefits of both teachers and students.
