JAMMU, Dec 10: Musaif Ajaz of DPS Jammu achieved the rare distinction of scoring a century in the Inter School Cricket Tournament organized by the Col. R.N Chopra Cricket Academy in its ground, here.
In the finals, DPS Jammu won the toss and decided to bat first against GD Goenka Batting first, DPS Jammu set a huge target of 269 runs in the stipulated 25 overs. For DPS Jammu, Musaif scored brilliant 105 runs in 43 balls and was supported by Ayush Slathia who scored valuable 54 runs. Rajpartap Singh and Satyabrat also contributed 37 and 36 runs to the total respectively. GD Goenka lost the match by 89 runs. Sanat, Anmol and Ayush bagged 2 wickets each. The best batsman and the man of the match award was given to Musiaf Ajaz, while the best bowler award went to Sanat Anand and the man of the Tournament award was bagged by Ayush Slathia of DPS Jammu.
Cricket team was felicitated by Ruchi Chabra, the Principal of the school who lauded the effort of the team and the coach. Sudesh Manhas for this superb achievement.
