DPS Jammu organizes English Language Workshop

Jammu, June 13: Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu organized a workshop on English Language Teaching in the Multipurpose Hall, here.
Around 50 English teachers of DPS Jammu, Nagbani and Katra attended the workshop which was aimed at equipping the teachers with the new trends in English Language teaching.
The Resource Person for the workshop was  Manju Sehgal, who is a subject expert for CBSE and NIOS consultant. She has worked as team leader and has also organized and participated in Evaluation workshops with CSE & NCERT Curriculum design.
The Resource Person acquainted the teachers with the ideas of NCF and demonstrated and discussed how language classroom processes / activities should be organized to promote language learning through pair work, group work, assignments, project work etc. She also equipped the teachers to develop material for English language teaching for everyday class room use and to explore ways of moving beyond the text books.
Earlier, Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra inaugurated the workshop and asked teachers to utilize the opportunity and make the programme more participatory and interactive.
Headmistress, Meenu Gupta was also present on the occasion and presented vote of thanks.
