JAMMU, May 12: Delhi Public School, Jammu organised a workshop titled “Crafting Impactful Letters of Recommendation (LOR)” at its MPH Hall to enhance teachers’ professional writing skills and support students aspiring for global university admissions.
The session was conducted by Umesh Sharma, Deputy Headmaster and Chief Coordinator, DPS Jammu. He also heads the Career Counselling and College Access Programme at the school.
He guided educators on drafting effective, evidence-based Letters of Recommendation aligned with international university requirements, focusing on highlighting student achievements, strengths and potential.
Principal Ruchi Chabra emphasised the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the school’s College Access Programme, while Vice Principal Meenu Gupta appreciated the effort to equip teachers for global academic guidance.
The workshop included interactive discussions and practical examples, helping participants understand best practices in writing impactful LORs. The session concluded with positive feedback from participants and was attended by Headmaster Ravi Kotroo and academic coordinators.
