JAMMU, Oct 17: The students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu, bagged 1st position in the Zonal level National Robotics Championship organized by IIT Mumbai at MV International School.
The students who participated in the championship were Divij Gupta and Sidhant Sharma of XI D, Arham Jain of X-B and Varun Dev Singh Jamwal of XI-D. The team was headed by Mandeep Singh, senior teacher of Physics department of the School.
They made the Robot by working on the principles of the micro-processor and sensor technology. On the basis of their performance, they were also selected for participation in the National Level Championship to be held at IIT Mumbai during the month of Feburary/March 2015.
A total of 19 groups of students from various schools participated in the championship.
The panel of judges which judged the championship was headed by a team from IIT Mumbai and I-SEC Systems (Gurgaon).
