JAMMU, Apr 25: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu clinched girls’ under-14 Badminton and Table Tennis titles after defeating Carmel Convent and Presentation Convent in the final of inter-school (girls) competitions of district Jammu, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
In the semifinals, again decided today, Carmel Convent beat Army Public School (APS) Nagrota by 2-0 while DPS trounced KC Public School by 2-1. Meanwhile, in under-17 age group, DPS Jammu has made it to the final along with Heritage School. In Semifinals: Heritage trounced APS Nagrota by 2-0 and DPS Jammu defeated KC Public School by 2-1.
Meanwhile, the under-17 Carrom single title went to Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Sohanjana, who beat Carmel Convent School by 2-0.
The girls’ under-14 Table Tennis final was won by DPS Jammu, beating Presentation Convent by 3-0.
Semifinals: DPS beat Jodhamal School by 3-0 and Presentation Convent drubbed GD Goenka by 3-0.
In Under-17 Table Tennis final, G D Goenka outplayed Heritage School by 3-2.
