DPS celebrates Independence Day with jubilation

JAMMU, Aug 13: Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu celebrated 68th Independence Day with fervour in its School premises, here today.
The celebrations commenced with releasing of balloons by the chief guest, Kiran Wattal, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Headmistress, Middle School, DPS Jammu, Meenu Gupta presented welcome address and said that every Indian should take oath on the Independence Day to remain patriotic.
Ruchi Chabra, Headmistress DPS Jammu also spoke on the occasion and made the students aware about the struggle of various leaders who sacrificed their lives to achieve Independence.
Various items were presented by the students which included patriotic songs, dances, speeches and poems etc to commemorate the freedom struggle.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Wattal advised the students to be patriotic and loyal in their actions and deeds.
