JAMMU, June 4: Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, today organized a leadership programme for the academic session 2026-27 with great enthusiasm and dignity.
The programme began with a welcome address by Eisha Gupta and presentation of a bouquet to chief guest Dr Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, by Principal Major Bhawna Devi (Retd). Floral tribute were paid to the school’s founder and former Dogra Sadar Sabha president, Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.
Ruchi Charak, Director, Rich Harvest School and Dogra Higher Secondary School, attended as guest of honour. Abhijay Singh Charak, a law student at Gujarat National Law University, was the special guest.
The Principal highlighted the importance of leadership and character-building among students. A group song titled “Nasha Mukta Bharat” and a colourful Dogri folk dance were presented by students.
During the badge-giving ceremony, Dr Charak formally inducted the newly elected Student Council members, who took an oath to uphold the values and traditions of the institution. Addressing the gathering, Ruchi Charak and Dr Samar Dev Singh Charak congratulated the council members and encouraged them to cultivate discipline, integrity, perseverance and leadership qualities.
