JAMMU, Sept 7: Gandhi-King Literary Society organized ‘Diversity Week’ at KC Public School, which concluded here today.
A kaleidoscopic vision of world’s glorious past, present and future, the panoramic beauty and culture of each country, a dance sequence on medley of songs from the World Song Book, inspiring speeches and motivational group recitation of poems on diversity marked the culmination of the Week at Junior Wing of the School.
A group discussion on ‘Respect’-the character trait of the month-was taken up which also highlighted the respect for global community and for luminary personalities of the contemporary world.
Another prominent feature was ‘Culture in a Box’. Grouped into teams, the students were asked to identify, consider and choose 10 items to be put in the box that hey believe would represent the unique culture of the country. It created a great buzz and students shared a good exchange of knowledge.
Speaking on the occasion, Sofia Rana, Headmistress said that the magical beauty of world and rich cultural heritage should always give us great sense of pride and honour.
