SRINAGAR, July 4: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of 4-day Mughal Rally starting from July 14. The rally will be organized by Tourism Department.
President, Himalayan Motor Association, Vijay Parmar briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the arrangements made for the rally.
Secretary Tourism, Farooq Shah, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Lone, Director Tourism Mehmood Shah and other officials also attended the meeting. While as other concerned Deputy Commissioners attended the meeting through video conference.
Divisional Commissioner was informed that the main aim behind the rally is to promote motor sport and tourism sector in general in the State.
Divisional Commissioner directed Traffic Police not to allow traffic mess during the rally hours and asked the R&B Department to suspend the construction work across the Mughal Road. Besides, the Health Department was directed to keep one ambulance along with the rally.
It was informed that pre event scrutiny and ceremonial flagship will be held at RSGC Srinagar on July 14. The rally will start from Centaur Srinagar with a route of Srinagar-Larnoo-Margan, Inshan-Daksum-Sinthan Pass-Srinagar.
The prize distribution function will be held on July 17 at SKICC, Srinagar.
