SRINAGAR, Aug 21: 21st district Wushu championship Srinagar 2014 was held at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, which concluded here today.
Around 300 participants from various Schools of district Srinagar participated in this event.
In the opening ceremony Farooq Ahmed Renzu, Ex Director, Information Department, J&K, and in the closing ceremony Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Amira Kadal was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among winners and runners-up teams.
Mohammad Maqsood Rather and Nisar Hussain were also present on the occasion.
The Green Valley Educational Institute was the overall champion and runner-up trophy went to Minto Circle.
The championship was organized by Srinagar District Wushu Association under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Wushu Association and sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
