JAMMU, Oct 3: Organized by Volleyball Association, Poonch district, the District Volleyball Championship begins today at Sports Stadium, Poonch.
Jasbir Singh, Professor of GDC Poonch, who was the chief guest formally threw open the championship.
In the opening matches played today at Sports Stadium, Poonch, Pinto Club defeated Ajote Club by 3-1 and Manjit Club thrashed GDC Poonch by 3-0 sets.
The final match will be played tomorrow at 4 pm between Manjit Club and Pinto Club in which Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu will be the chief guest.
