DODA, Nov 20: Third District Taekwondo Championship, organised by District Association under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association and sponsored by Shaheen Public Hr. Secondary School was inaugurated at Community Hall, here today.
The co-sponsored of the championship were Famishd – Food & Grocery delivery, Delta Multi Speciality Clinic (DMC), Khan & Sons, Adil Bakers, AFC Gym, Cafe Yakjah, Bliss Cafe, Halal Basket, Rukwals Little Hut, and Hotel Rehmat Plaza.
Ankur Sharma, Commanding Officer (10RR) graced the opening ceremony as chief guest along with Raj Kumar Operation SP Doda, Major Hitesh Yadav (10RR), Ashraf Khurwani (DIO) and Jaffar Haider Sheikh (DYSSO), as guests of honour.
The event was designed for the selection of upcoming UT level championship wherein around 200 players participated. The championship was organised in two disciplines of Taekwondo including Kyorugi and Poomsae.
Yawer Khurwani presented a cash reward of Rs 5000 on behalf of MD Shaheen Public School to the organizing committee.
Junaid Ali Khan (President DDTA), Nadeem Niaz Zargar (Vice President), Tariq Hussain, Muzamil Khan, Brinder Singh Manhas (Technical Director) and many others were present during the event.
Nadeem Zargar (Coach CSA), Babar Mujahid (Coach, BMH), Muzamil Rashid Malik (Coach BMH) and Haroon Zafar (National player) were also graced the event, while Junaid Ali Khan (President, DDTA) presented a vote of thanks.
