DODA, Nov 22: Third District Doda Taekwondo Championship concluded, here today.
Deputy Commissioner (DC), Vishesh Paul Mahajan was the chief guest, while SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom, DIO Mohd Ashraf Khurwani, DySP (Traffic), Baljeet Singh and CAO GMC Mohd Iqbal were the guests of honour.
The chief guest congratulated the organisers and said that the District administration was glad that such programmes were being promoted among the youth.
The championship was organised by District Doda Taekwondo Association (DDTA), headed by Burhan Ud Din Khan (Secretary DDTA) under the aegis of Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA), supported by J&K Sports Council at Community Hall under ‘My youth My Pride’.
The event was designed for the selection of upcoming J&K UT level Taekwondo championship wherein around 200 players participated from different Clubs and Schools throughout the district. The overall team trophy was achieved by Chenab Taekwondo Club.
