District Srinagar Wrestling C’ship concludes

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: Srinagar District Wrestling Championship organized by District Srinagar Wrestling Association and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council concluded at Indoor Complex, Bakshi Stadium here today.
Thirty wrestlers of various weight categories participated in the event.
Nazir Ahmed, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Kashmir province was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed prizes, medals and certificates among the meritorious wrestlers.
Rakesh Khajuria, General Secretary JKWA, Anil Sharma, Director Galaxy Associates,  Tullal Ahmed, Manager Indoor Complex were the guests of honour.
Bouts were officiated by Kamal Singh veteran wrestler and Shaffaquat Ahmed coach while Gulzar Ahmed President Distt Srinagar Wrestling Association and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma were the Mat Chairman and Director Competitions respectively
The bouts were held under the supervision of team of experts comprising of Shiekh Shaffi, President District Ganderbal Wrestling Association, M Ameen Mir, President District Baramulla Wrestling Association, Fayaz Sofi and AR Ahangar President District Anantnag Wrestling Association. Event culminated with the vote of thanks which was presented by Mustaq Ahmed Secretary of District Srinagar Wrestling Association.
