JAMMU, Aug 9: Two day long 12th District Jammu Rope Skipping Championship, being organised by Rope Skipping Association of J&K, concluded at Carmel Convent School, here today.
Around 180 students from 25 Schools/Clubs of Jammu district participated in the championship with great enthusiasm and zeal.
The championship provided a perfect platform to the participants to showcase their performance and hone their skills. The main aim of the tournament was to provide all round fitness and extraordinary skills in the students.
Maria Swati, Principal Carmel Convent School declared the event open, while Randhir Singh Sodhi, SSP was the chief guest of the closing ceremony and Adv Neetu Bali CEO, Sunder Enterprises, Kamal Singh, International Gymnast, Shweta Thakur Sharma, State Awardee / Member of J&K Sports Council, Bhanu Partap Singh, International player were the special guests of the valedictory function.
The championship was technically supervised by Danish Sharma, Technical Director of Rope Skipping Association of J&K along with his senior officials.
SSP, Randhir Singh Sodhi motivated the participants and said that say yes to rope and no to dope which were really the golden words for the students present there. He also appreciated the organisers for organising this wonderful championship.
