SRINAGAR, Oct 19: District Srinagar Roller Skating competition concluded at Radpora Skating Rink under the patronage of J&K Roller Skating Association, headed by GS Khurmi, here today.
About 150 skaters participated in various events wherein Qazi Sarwar, Additional District Commissioner was the chief guest who gave away the medals to winners. The event was organised by Kamal Anand and local support was provided by Ashraf Dijoo (In-charge Kashmir of JKRSA).
In 5-7 years boys, Mohd Hadi, Mohd Zain and Mohd Zaeen secured top three medals, while Arham Shafaat was declared as best performer, whereas in girls category, Khadijah Bin-Umar, Javaid Harneem Abdullah and Daneen Shoaib bagged Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In 7-9 years boys, Noman Mohd, Ijaaz and Shala clinched top three medals respectively, whereas in girl’s category, Areeba Masoodi, Hooriya Showkat and Mysha Shala clinched Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In 11-14 years boys, Dabeer Wani, Mohd Baseer and Muneeb-ur-Rehman clinched top three positions respectively, while Urwa Tul Wusuqa, Qurat-ul-Ain and Nehal bagged top three medals respectively in girls category, whereas in 14-17 boys category, Mohd Sauleh, Atif Lone and Mujtaba clinched Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively, while in girls category, Wafa Tariq and Shaifa bagged Gold and Silver medals respectively.
In the above 17 years boys, Syed Athar, Sheikh Salman and Basharat Ahad won top three medals respectively.
The event was organised in 200 metres and 400 metres races.
