REASI, Sept 8: The District Reasi Softball Championship 2024-25, organized by the District Reasi Softball Association (Adhoc Body) in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council and the J&K Softball Association, concluded at the Mini Sports Stadium, Pouni here today.
The championship, overseen by Opinder Singh, Organizing Secretary, saw an enthusiastic conclusion. Sahil Randava, Tehsildar Pouni, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He praised the District Reasi Softball Association for their professional execution of the event and highlighted the importance of regular tournaments at the block and club levels for the promotion of softball in the region. Randava also acknowledged the efforts of the J&K Sports Council in enhancing sports facilities and urged athletes to make the most of the available resources.
During the ceremony, medals, trophies and accolades were awarded to the winners and runners-up. GHSS Pouni won the Junior Boys category, with GMS Softball Club as the runners-up. Kheralair Club clinched the top spot in the Girls event, with Khalar School Softball Club as the runners-up. The technical team, including Ajay Salathia, Pardeep Singh, Sagar Chib, Deep Singh, Mohit Sharma, and Sonali Sharma, played a crucial role in the event’s success.
