RAMBAN, June 18: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association today declared open JKCA Premier Championship at District Police Lines, here today.
16 teams drawn from the district are participating in this knockout tournament. The objective of the tournament is to provide opportunity to the players to showcase their talent and reserve berth in probable for JKCA under the notable administration of Justice CK Prasad, retired Judge of the Supreme Court and Justice Syed Rafat Alam, Chief Justice of MP and Allahabad High Courts and Chief Executive Officer, JKCA Ashiq Hussain Bukhari , retired DIG.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Sham Saroop Kalsotra, Committee Member, JKCA.
The tournament was inaugurated by Mohan Lal, SSP Ramban as the chief guest in the presence of Sanjay Kumar, Additional SP, Ramban as the guests of honour in an impressive inaugural function arranged by Jatinder Singh and Mushtak Ahmed, Coordinators, Ramban District Tournament Organizing Committee and its Executive members formed by J&K Cricket Association.
The inaugural match was played between King XI Maitra and Durga Cricket Club, in which King XI Maitra defeated their rivals by 3 wickets.
